Slow Stitch Monday’s

All Skill Levels Welcome

Limited space, no cost but registration required

Need to slow down after a busy weekend? Do you have some hand work projects on the go? Join Patti and other like-minded friends on Mondays for a cuppa tea or coffee while we stitch the day away. This day has one very strict rule: NO SEWING MACHINES ALLOWED! Bring anything that can be worked on with your hands, eg. binding, hand applique, English paper piecing, knitting/crocheting, etc.

please contact Edmonton Police Services !!!

Our 25th Anniversary project was stolen from the Robbins Pavilion of the Royal Alexandra Hospital on Monday afternoon.  The police have been contacted and are actively looking for it.

It is stitched in various threads on canvas with a painted background.  Members of the Edmonton Needlecraft Guild put over 1000 hours into this special project between 1999 and 2015.  It is approximately 2 x 3 feet, including the frame.

Please share this message and photo as widely as you can, in the hope of someone recognizing this beautiful piece of fibre art.  We will be posting the picture on Facebook and Instagram, so please share that too.  We want to get our Edmonton Skyline back to the hospital as soon as possible so it can continue to brighten people’s days.

Community Donation

Hello Patti,

My name is Christina and I am the Occupational Therapy student from the U of A who requested quilting materials for a project with the residents of the Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre  (WEAC). We have been working as a community to complete this quilt which represents coming together for healing from loss and grief.

Thank you so much for the materials you provided! They will continue to be used at WEAC to add to this project. My placement is complete but the work will continue.

I have attached a photo of the project as it is today.

Thank you again for your generosity, and your support of the women of WEAC.
